Paul J. Ferraro, PhD, is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Business and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Ferraro has a joint faculty appointment in the Whiting School of Engineering and the Carey Business School. His research focuses on behavioral economics and the design and evaluation of environmental programs in the private and public sectors. Because these research areas are multi-disciplinary and applied, he collaborates with scientists and engineers from a variety of social, natural and physical science disciplines, as well as practitioners in the field.

He has authored or co-authored more than 150 scientific contributions to the field of applied psychology (journal articles, conference presentations, case studies...). Beyond academic research, he extensively collaborates with the media (TV, radio, press) as a scientific consultant (The Times, Sky 麻豆传媒, CNBC, CNN International, The Washington Post, The Economist, BBC 2, BBC Radio 4, Financial Times, BusinessWeek, The Economist, BBC World…) and is currently a contributor for Forbes. He worked for several years as a marketing practitioner in different industries, including FMCGs, banks, and public institutions and remains a freelance consultant in the area of behavioural science.
